Sea state is an important factor in the formation of marine aerosols. ©
The UK Surface Ocean - Lower Atmosphere Study (UK SOLAS) examines the interaction between the atmosphere and ocean. The focus is on chemical exchanges that affect marine productivity and climate. UK SOLAS is the UK's contribution to the international SOLAS programme. UK SOLAS data are managed by the UK SOLAS Data Centre (SDC), co-ordinated by the British Oceanographic Data Centre (BODC) in collaboration with the British Atmospheric Data Centre (BADC).
